Re-wind to November

Well, as stated in the last post, the busy-ness has continued. Although I must confess, I did catch some down time the 24th - the 26th, but who wants to ruin down time with doing something? I didn't crawl out of bed until 9:49 Monday morning (and the angels sang the Hallelujah chorus with me...) and shortly after 12:30, I was asleep again for 2 hours!! Today has been a struggle to stay awake, but I was willing to risk it for the sake of sleep on Monday.

The Children's Choir musical that was also mentioned in the previous post was a HUGE success. I would post tons of pictures for you, but since I'm kind of the behind the scenes person when it comes to these programs, pictures are limited. VERY limited.

However, I still have a few details to catch you up on prior to the musical!

How about we'll start with covering the entire month of November. Shortly after the Fall Festival was over, I headed North! I really do enjoy a road trip. The only thing I don't necessarily like about it is going along. So I've learned to adapt...and meet up with others I know!

I started my trip in Nashville, TN (my first time there!). I went to the Women's Leadership Forum put on by Lifeway Women. You might recall that I went last year and was blown away with the leaders involved with the Lifeway Women's Leaders. This year was no different. I got to see several of the ladies from the Lifeway team that I had the privilege to work under last year. They are such a blessing to work along side of! I also had the opportunity to hear a few of the speakers from last year as well as a couple of new ones. Travis was there to lead us in worship - that man can sing. (Sorry for lack of pictures for this part of the trip...but when you're busy, you're busy.) I also got to meet up (and even room with one) with some of the girls/ladies that I met last year! It was great to hear about all that God has done and is continuing to do in their lives!

After the Forum ended on Saturday, I hit the road for a loooong time. I had a destination in mind (with a scheduled stop or two). The first stop was in Sevierville, TN to visit with a couple of cousins who live in that area. We met up for a quick dinner since I had to get on the road to Raleigh, NC to see this beautiful lady get married! Alicia and I have known each other for many years and I couldn't imagine being on the road the same weekend as her wedding and not going to her wedding!

After the wedding I headed south to Jacksonville to see the wonderful Keisha (not pictured). We did what we do best (shop and eat). From there it was home bound to nurse the sick patients at my house.

Then there was Thanksgiving at the farm with the Young Family (mom's side). There are lots of little cousins running around these days, and we love it.

This girl LOVES her Uncle Jerry!

The girls had to opportunity to take their first horse ride. Harmony is now in LOVE with horses. Hallie can take them or leave them, but Harmony hasn't quit talking about them yet!

After horse back riding, the girls quickly took a break to roast a marshmallow. I may have roasted one for myself as well.

So it was a busy month for me. This might help you forgive me for lack of posting during that month. Now that I've posted twice in December...we won't have need for that this month. ;-)

It's Been A While

I'm still alive!

Life's been a little busy the past few months, and will continue to be through the month of December and right on in to 2012. Breaks are hard to find these days, but I dare not complain!

So to start catching you up on my life...Children's Choir is still going strong. We have a big musical next Sunday (the worker's may be getting a little stressed...):

The Fall Festival & Touch-A-Truck went well:

Sadly, that's all the update I have time for (right now). I'll be back. Don't worry, I even have more pictures!
