Sixty Six

A few short weeks ago, I started the journey. Already it seems long. But that number makes it looks short. If only I were to record every thankful thought - that number would be more.

66. Awards to those well deserved.
67. Bible lessons that remind us there is no perfect eartly father.
68. Bible lessons that remind us there is a perfect heavenly Father.
69. When asking a child for a characteristic of God: "He never deminishes or dissolves!" Said with such joy and excitement. You are right child!
70. Time spent fishing, even when the fish don't bite.
71. A precious little one still getting the hang of walking.
72. Time spent with (one of) my college roommates. Such a strong and bold woman of God, wife and mother.
73. Clean homes.
74. Weeding the garden and the time it gives me to spend alone with my thoughts and my prayers.
75. First-fruits of the garden - if only to understand just how much of an "offering" it was for the people of Old Testament times it was. There's just something about working, watching and waiting for those first veggies and fruits. I almost don't want to share them, but keep them all for myself. Yet God asked of them to bring Him their first harvest.
76. Clean sheets to sleep in.
77. Watching the friendship of my grandparents thrive from days of their youth even up unto their eighties.
78. Friendships that pick up right where they left off.
79. The hands of a skillful surgeon. The caring hands of nurses and hospital staff.
80. An unexpected meeting of family.
81. A young boy wrestling with God. As of yesterday, it appears that God is winning.
82. New Bibles given to hungry hearts.
83. Evenings off.
84. To-do list shortened. Temporarily.
85. When I'm afraid to dream big - He's worthy.

Happy Birthday Micah Man!

One of the cutest little guys I know turned ONE this past Friday! I can say that I had the privilege of holding him just hours after he was born. He never fussed. I loved it!

His lovely mommy asked me to make a Banner for the Birthday Boy, and I was happy to do so! Of course making the banner also meant that I got to see his beautiful mommy (and family) so it was a win for everyone! (Thanks again for the dinner and the good talks sweet friend!)

Here are just a few pictures I snapped to send to his mommy for approval. His party was a farm theme, which was difficult to come up with an idea for the banner, so I just went for semi-country looking with farm animals for character. Hopefully the birthday boy was ok with that! :)

Happy Birthday Micah Man! You are truly one blessed little boy! I pray that you grow up and realize this fully! Your mommy and daddy love God, each other and you (and your siblings!!). More than their love though, God loves YOU! I pray that you realize this and spend your life striving to love Him and making His love known!

Sometimes It's Good to be Done.

I had great plans for a long post. Great plans don't hold water at 10:10 pm in my world. So you get a short post (which most would argue that around this blog is better than nothing).

So do you remember a few weeks back seeing a horribly dingy mint color room in need of some TLC. Ok, look HERE if you don't.

Well, it's almost finished. And by almost I mean it lacks two things. 1 - some vinyl lettering on the walls around the world map and 2 - a class full of children (which will occur SOON!). But until those happen, here are the updated pictures!

Please note (from a distance) how organized that cabinet is. I told the teacher that she has the most organized cabinet in the church right now.

And yes, even the cabinet received a fresh coat of (much needed) paint.

And much to my delight, in the middle of this process, the church had the carpets cleaned! It's almost like a brand new room!!

I'm VERY pleased with the outcome. I may never take on another World Map again, but this one is worth it.

Thankful.

I have noticed one thing this week since starting Multitudes on Monday last week, I have much to be thankful for that I often times overlook as something that is just supposed to be. It makes much of the little things.

11. Fishing with family and friends.
12. The faithfulness of good friends.
13. Safety.
14. Shelter.
15. Friends who take seriously the challenge to praise Him in the midst of struggle, hardship and loss. She demonstrates such faith to everyone she encounters, even amidst her own pain.
16. The knowledge that I am a child of the King. Royalty. Princess. :)
17. Birthdays. 19, 31 and 81 all in one week.
18. Aunts and Uncles who love and pursue God.
19. Coconut Shrimp with Pina Colada sauce.
20. Children Worshipping.
