PandaMania 2011!

As promised, I'm back with a few pictures!

PandaMania VBS 2011 was a BLAST! I think it's safe to say that everyone (workers included) had fun! There are times when I get discouraged in Children's Ministry, but then there are times when I see the excitement in the eyes of the children that come, and it makes every bit of what we do 100% worth it. When kids grab hold of Biblical truths and cling to the, that is what it is about! The pictures are by no means in any sort of order.

On the way to our rotation stations!

Kids and workers agree, snacks are always enjoyed!

Peter dropped by our Wild Bible Adventure one night. Just thinking about this particular class still brings chill bumps to my arms and tears to my eyes.

The night Peter dropped by, was the night that the kids learned about Christ going to the cross for us. The story was told from Peter's perspective of denying Christ three times and how horrible he must have felt. He wondered aloud to the kids if God could ever love and forgive him. The kids were then invited to tell Peter all they had learned so far at VBS. I'm still amazed at their answers and their compassion towards Peter.

In the Rowdy Wrap-up that same night, a time line was placed across the stage.  Since everyone dies, the time line was ripped in two. But as it was demonstrated that night, Christ came that we might have Eternal life with Him in Heaven if we accept Him as our Savior!

Everyone loves the music!

And the motions!

Even our little ones!

Crews circled up to work on their projects!

And to pray!

Did I mention that we got to sing and dance two times, every night?

Even the crew leaders were put on the stage!

The kids helped Chadder solve the mystery of the missing Pandas!

No VIP (Very. Important. Panda. - or parent) was safe if Mr. Matthew was around!

Snack time in the 3 year old class! Yummo!

Jonah and the big fish was night 3! Oh yes, there really was a big fish! ALL the kids got to go inside!

And you should know it smelled fishy.

Crew discussions were had often!

Gone were the days of kool-aid and cookies night after night! These snacks fit in with the Bible story each night!

And the kids didn't mind at all!

Mrs. Lori's Bible class was always fun! Of course there was always a little bit of anticipation to be built before going in!

And her helpers,

Well let's just say were willing and ready to help make the story come to life. (Those spray bottles of water were used as the fish spit Jonah on to dry land - or as the kids climbed out of the fish!)

Of course there was a rotation for crafts as well, but I couldn't seem to locate any of those pictures right now. They're here. I know it.

And there's some video as well! I'll see if I can't manage to give you a little of that as well!
