Oh how I pray that he sees this and listens and hears John Piper's plea!

So this weekend I went up to my grandmother/aunt and uncle's to meet the newest member of the family - my cousin-in-law Katie! We like her. We plan to keep her...forever.

Harmony quickly warmed up to her...which doesn't happen very often. I think she's made a new life-long buddy!
I'm currently loving Hosea 10:12 - What a call to repentance!
Sow righteousness for yourselves
and reap faithful love;
break up your untilled ground.
It is time to seek the LORD
until He comes and sends righteousness
on you like the rain.

Roommate Weekend
So this past weekend Shauna, Lee Ann and I reunited for several hours in Wewa. What precious moments to spend time with these lovely ladies! These two make me wish I had sisters!

Then of course, there was the lovely Ivory who joined us for our reunion for the first time. She of course was a perfect little lady!

Don't settle.
Don't settle. These two short but meaningful words have been going through my head for the past week. So often times I do settle for less than what God has for me as best because my patience wear thin and I cave in. So often I give up on waiting on God and chase after what I want for me, when I want - it's my selfish nature. It's sin - specifically when God tells me no or wait and I proceed anyway.
One of the ways that I have been tempted to settle lately has been the area of relationships. Not just the possibility of relationships with a (hopeful) future hubby, but also with friendships. This past weekend I was reminded not to settle. God knows what I need, He even knows what I want, and in His time He will see that I have the opportunity for all of this! I want what (or who) is God's best for my life. I want to pursue God and to be encouraged in that pursuit by those who surround me on the journey. I want to be treasured, treasured by those who surround me on the journey to the greatest treasure - to know and love God intimately! He has given me so many wonderful friends who encourage me and lift me up, who treasure our friendship and for all of you, I am grateful. I am blessed to have found you. I have been encouraged to go deeper in my relationship with Christ through many of you - for that I am ever grateful! I pray that I have done the same for you and others that I have encountered.
I so eagerly anticipate the friends that I have yet to make and even the continuation of friendships that were formed this past weekend! My prayer is that I am as much a friend to all of you as you have been and are to me!
